FAQ's
What is A Love Thing?
A Love Things is an indie wedding fair to celebrate love in all its shapes and sizes. We love independent brands, local businesses and the makers and shakers who create outstanding work.
Where will it take place?
The fair will be held at the lovely Norwich Arts Centre, an inclusive, independent music and performance venue in the city centre, housed within a Grade 1 listed beautiful church. Since 1980 NAC has played host to countless of music legends and performers and when its not hosting amazing bands and artists NAC is also the perfect wedding/party venue!
What kind of exhibitors are you looking for?
We are looking for independent wedding suppliers for couples that are looking for something just a little bit different.
How do I apply for a stand at A Love Thing Wedding Fair?
We will advertise our fair dates and open applications for exhibitors on our Instagram @alovethingwedding
We can only review applications during this call out period via our online application form. Once all applications have been collated you will receive an e-mail to let you know if we can offer you a space or not. If you are offered a stand you will receive further information on payment and stall location etc. Payment can be made via Bank transfer.
What are the sizes and costs of a stand?
All stands are 2m X 1m and cost £150.
Vendors will need to supply their own table / rails and backdrops. As the venue is a listed building you will not be able to hang or tape items to any of the walls or structures. If you have a bespoke set-up please feel free to contact us to discuss options and take a look at the space.
You can have a virtual walk-around the building HERE
Can I share / sublet my stand?
Table sharing is not permitted unless specifically agreed by the event organisers in advance.
Will there be electrical points available for exhibitors?
The venue will be lit by auditorium lights and festoon lights. There are a limited number of stands with electricity points. The venue requires that all electrical equipment must be PAT tested and in good condition and safe to use.
Do you accept food and drink traders?
If you are a food vendor please get in touch on our socials or e-mail alovethingwedding@gmail.com to discuss potential options.
Do I need insurance?
Exhibitors are responsible for their own insurance, including Public Liability Insurance. Exhibitors are required to take out public liability cover for a minimum of £1 million and produce a copy of the policy to the organisers or venue if requested.
Exhibitors selling or offering food are required to have a minimum £5 million Public Liability Insurance. We also require a copy of your Five Star Food Hygiene Rating certificate. The exhibitor must provide this to the fair organisers no later than 2 weeks before the date of the event.
Is there parking on site?
If you’re coming in a car, the venue does not have its own car park so you will have to pay and display for 15 mins whilst loading. You can then park your car in a nearby pay and display for the day.
Click here for parking information from Parkodedia.
Do you offer refunds on stands?
If an exhibitor cancels a stand after the full payment date all fees paid will be forfeited. The organiser may resell the stand space but will be under no obligation to reimburse any part of the cancellation charge.
How do you promote the fair?
A Love Thing and Norwich Arts Centre will advertise the event on their website, socials and newsletter as well as A Love Thing socials. The event will be listed on all main local events listing sites and leaflets distributed where possible.
